This week's teasers come from an ARC thanks to Penguin Books. Midnight Crossroad by Charlaine Harris is due out May 6, 2014 by Ace Hardcover. As with all ARCs, the sentences may be different in the final copy.

My teasers come from the bottom of p.35 to the top of p.36.
He's talking about 2 different people who had just entered the restaurant to join the table of locals for dinner.
