Teaser Tuesday - Elderwood Manor by Christopher Fulbright and Angeline Hawkes

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of
Rules:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t    give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title and author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR    Lists if they like your teasers!

Bruce Davenport and his four year old son Cody are arriving at Bruce's childhood home in the Ozarks after receiving a weird sort of phone call from his mother and fresh on his wife's death and loss of his job. He's penniless, arriving there on gas fumes and hoping to find gas and food within the manor.

The teaser:
"I want to walk, Daddy." Bruce tensed when Cody spoke, as if he didn't want the place to hear his son's voice, to know that another generation of Davenport had returned.

The publisher ends the description of the book with:
"But they soon find something else dwells in the home, in the earth, in the woods. Unseen things are out for vengeance and blood. If they can survive the night, they may just find out what truly lies within the walls of ... Elderwood Manor."

This ebook was released July 15, 2014 by DarkFuse and is part of their popular novella series.

Mine this week is a drama about a woman with Borderline Personality Disorder (and there may be a bit of romance in there too...)
