Can't Wait Wednesday/Waiting on Wednesday #335: The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab

Waiting on Wednesday" is a weekly event that had been hosted by Jill over at Breaking the Spine where we spotlighted upcoming releases we are eagerly anticipating. I'm now linking up with "Can't-Wait Wednesday" hosted over at Wishful Endings.

From the publisher: In the vein of The Time Traveler’s Wife and Life After Life, The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue is New York Times bestselling author V. E. Schwab’s genre-defying tour de force.

A Life No One Will Remember. A Story You Will Never Forget.

France, 1714: in a moment of desperation, a young woman makes a Faustian bargain to live forever—and is cursed to be forgotten by everyone she meets.

Thus begins the extraordinary life of Addie LaRue, and a dazzling adventure that will play out across centuries and continents, across history and art, as a young woman learns how far she will go to leave her mark on the world.

But everything changes when, after nearly 300 years, Addie stumbles across a young man in a hidden bookstore and he remembers her name.

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab is expected to be published October 6th, 2020 by Tor Books.

Why am I waiting on this book? I like the plot idea. And I wonder how her life will change when she meets someone who remembers her. And I look forward to finding out more about him and her.

What book are you waiting on this week? Share it or a link in the comments. so we can check it out and maybe add it to our TBR lists. Thanks for coming by and Happy Reading!

  3. I tried one book by this author, The Near Witch? Couldn't get into it. I'm debating if I try another one because everyone loves her books!

    1. This will be my first book by the author. I can understand your reticence. Maybe wait and check out some reviews to help you decide.

  4. This is on my list too, although I have yet to read one of her books even though I've been meaning to for forever. I hope you love it!
