Why am I waiting on this book? I'm intrigued that they think this book will appeal to fans of Terry Pratchett. Death is one of my favorites in the Discworld series. I'm wondering how this Death will come across. And I'm hoping his intern will prove to be a success. It does sound like it could be a fun read.

Why am I waiting on this book? It sounds interesting to me. What made people forget what happened before? How does he convince people to help again? How does he save the world while keeping his kid safe? These and other burning questions draw me to this book.

Why am I waiting on this book? I'm interested in finding out more about this league of witches. And I'm wondering how a pirate paired with a witch will work out. It sounds like a fun read.

He'd stare at boys his age huddle in whispers and dare each other to reach into the water and fish out the shiny pennies from the reflecting pool that was supposed to be the Nile River. He wanted to tell them what Orquídea once had--that you shouldn't steal other people's wishes because that's when everything goes wrong. (35% through on my Kindle)

The Inheritance of Orquídea Divina by Zoraida Córdova was published September 7th, 2021 by Atria Books. This teaser is from an ARC and therefore may be different in the final edition.

Why am I waiting on this book? I'm not familiar with this series, but this book sounds good. I love stories involving libraries and librarians. And that it says she will have to delve into mythology and folklore makes it even more attractive. I've got to check out this series and this book.

Why am I waiting on this book? It appeals to me because it's billed as a paranormal comedy. It's nice to see a book that may be about the apocalypse that's not all doom and gloom.
