Teaser Tuesday: Meddling Kids by Edgar Cantero

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by The Purplebooker.

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
 Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title and author so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Andy averted her eyes just a second to confirm that Copperseed was now fully smiling, the red glow of burning collateral damage expectedly suiting his sharp, rugged features.

They remained on the knoll for a while, under the magical spell of things going kablooey in the night.

  1. Hi Laura,

I love it when a book offers up a plethora of quotable / teaser lines and that first extract was particularly good!

I have to admit that 'kablooey' was a new word on me and whilst I could happily guess at what it meant, I did check out the official definition, just to be on the safe side!

Thanks for sharing and I hope you are still enjoying the read :)

    Yvonne xx

  3. It sounds like a young adult book, which is not the usual genre I read. Like Yvonne, I had to google kablooey :))

    1. I don't think it's ya so much as maybe New Adult. The characters are in their 20s. If you like horror with tones of characters from HP Lovecraft you would like it. Otherwise you might want to give it a miss.
