Quicksand is the 3rd book in the Jaya Jones series put out by Henery Press. It was released March 10, 2015.

Plot synopsis from Goodreads.com:
A thousand-year-old secret room. A sultan’s stolen treasure. A missing French priest. And an invitation to Paris to rekindle an old flame....

Historian Jaya Jones finds herself on the wrong side of the law during an art heist at the Louvre. To redeem herself, she follows clues from an illuminated manuscript that lead from the cobblestone streets of Paris to the quicksand-surrounded fortress of Mont Saint-Michel. With the help of enigmatic Lane Peters and a 90-year-old stage magician, Jaya delves into France's colonial past in India to clear her name and catch a killer.

  2. Aren't you already on the wrong side of the law if you're participating in an art heist? But this sounds like the perfect book for me! I love history, I love art and I love the occasional (hypothetical) criminal act in the name of art! Thanks for sharing :) I hope you have a great week!

    1. Yeah, the fact that she sometimes makes like Indiana Jones appealed to me. And the plots seem to be well researched.

    1. I'm not sure what got stolen yet lol. I did the random pick thing this week from a part I hadn't gotten to instead of picking from a part I already read. I can't wait to find out! She has this love/hate relationship with Lane. It adds to the story.
